What are the forex market hours in Thailand?
Sydney opens the week before dawn on Monday, Tokyo covers the Thai working day, London starts mid-afternoon and New York runs from the evening into the early hours. Each session moves by an hour with its own country's daylight saving.

What is the best time to trade forex from Thailand?
For most traders, the London and New York overlap: 20:00 to midnight in winter and 19:00 to 23:00 in summer, when liquidity in the majors and gold is usually at its highest. In UTC+7 that's an evening session, not an all-nighter.
- London only (15:00–19:00): a full session that ends before dinner. Good for EUR and GBP pairs.
- The overlap (20:00–24:00): the most movement and the US data releases, finished by midnight in winter.
- Tokyo (07:00–16:00): fits office hours but is usually quieter for the majors; JPY and AUD pairs move most.

US data such as NFP and CPI comes out at 20:30 Thailand time in winter and 19:30 in summer. The FOMC statement lands at 02:00 in winter and 01:00 in summer.

When do the session times change in 2026–27?
Four dates move your evening: the UK changes on 25 October 2026 and 28 March 2027, the US on 1 November 2026 and 14 March 2027. In the gaps between them, London and New York are out of step for a week or two.

What about SET (Stock Exchange of Thailand) hours?
The SET trades in two sessions on weekdays, roughly 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:30 to 16:30 Thailand time, with short pre-open and closing auctions around them. It's closed on Thai public holidays.
That timetable finishes before London opens in winter and overlaps it by half an hour or so in summer, so traders who hold Thai stocks and trade forex can do both in one day. Check the SET's own website for the current schedule and holiday calendar each year, as festival dates move.
Is Thailand a good place to trade forex from?
Yes. UTC+7 is one of the best time zones for trading London and New York: London starts mid-afternoon and the overlap ends by midnight in winter. Bangkok has excellent fibre; islands and smaller towns need a backup connection.
